Pilot Light On Furnace But No Heat

A faulty or dirty ignition or sensor is a relatively easy fix so follow these steps and you may be able to solve the problem yourself.
Pilot light on furnace but no heat. The pilot light or ignition sensor is usually the most common issue when your furnace will not ignite. I had this problem with my 30 year old furnace with the pilot light light and no heat to the house as the main gas burners did not kick on i replaced the thermocouple and problem solved. If there is a reset button on your furnace turn the valve to the pilot position and hold a flame to the dedicated pilot gas tube while pushing the button for about 30 seconds. If the pilot doesn t light on the first attempt wait a few minutes and repeat the procedure this time depressing the reset button for 45 to 60 seconds.
If after doing all these things the furnace does not produce heat it might require a new igniter in pilot less furnaces. Turn the circuit breaker off and on to reset an electric furnace. This is typically the problem if you can hear your furnace click on but it does not fire up. Easy fix 10 part and changed it myself.
